Placenta Products? !

Since moving to Melbourne, I've come across these weird products......and screwed my face up in disgust!

According to the write ups - I shouldn't be so hasty. Supposedly benefits of placenta include:
  • Anti-aging
  • Revitalizing the skin
  • Boosting the immune system
  • Improving physical vitality
  • Promoting general health
  • Reduce wrinkles & scars
Mmmm Hmmmm........

Available in all sorts of variations, from creams / capsules / shampoos etc - seriously - who buys this stuff?!
There must be quite a market demand for it, as many Asian / Tourist shops sell them.

I'm almost tempted to try out a mini tester pot, just to see what it's like.......maybe once you get over the name (& ingredients) it's not so bad? (still shaking my head & screwing up my nose as I type!)

Has anyone tried any of the products? Are they actually alright or just a load of marketing nonsense?
I'm really perplexed & curious as to why there are so many different brands of these placenta products - there's a whole load of people out there clearly using the stuff!

  1. Yep, I admit, I have tried them! I bought a hair mask sometime ago from priceline called Hask Placental extract. It is made from sheep placenta!! Honestly though, I did not find it sensational. Would not buy it again!

  2. I've read that it's meant to be beneficial, but ewww. I would never be tempted.
