I Got The Monday Blues...

Ho hum, another weekend disappeared on fast forward and another work week arrives.....right along with a big ol pimple! Yep, what started out as a small red lump on my jaw line last night, managed to morph into a big red whitehead zit by this afternoon. And I was so grossed out by it that I did the typical girl thing and squeezed it til it bled. At work. That’s right, my punishment for the rest of the afternoon was to have a beacon red patch on my jaw line to DRAW ATTENTION to the fact I’d clearly squeezed a zit there fairly recently. Oh the shame.

I don’t know why, but just recently I’ve had a few breakouts along my hairline. Hard lumps that just won’t go away, no matter how many times I squeeze em! I can’t help it – I hate spots and can’t stand blind pimples. I’d rather have it look manky for a few days than let it drag out trying to be rid of them without touching for weeks.

So when I received a random email from the Skin Vault offering a super special deal, I clicked through & discovered products from Alpha-H. After taking my sweet time researching this brand on the net, checking out user reviews etc, I decided that yeah – I would go through & make a purchase. Except shock horror – they had sold out – in less than 2 hours! Which meant it was pretty bargainous & I had just missed out :(

I emailed the website to enquire if they’d be restocking to offer the deal once more and had an exceptionally fast reply to confirm they were pretty much sold out – but as I was online already – they’d make 1 more available for me to purchase there & then. Done deal! Not only was I impressed with their customer service but also their postage was FREE! And it arrived quickly.

So – I managed to get the Alpha H Liquid Gold two for one deal.
Its blurb reads ‘This is the 'rock-star product'  that transforms skin from bedraggled, dull and lifeless into refreshed, toned, firmed and vibrant virtually overnight! - No skin care routine is complete without it. Allow Liquid Gold to work its magic and deliver exceptional results by applying and leaving it uninterrupted over night.’

Apparently it's also pretty good for drying out spots & helping to get rid of them faster. I applied it on the night I received, and had a few misgivings upon application. It doesn't smell great. It smells like soy sauce. Seriously. And the scent lingers.
My face initially felt a bit dry after application (like using a toner) & stung a bit, but soon faded & didn't feel tight as I had expected. I actually didn't need to moisturise and woke up the next morning with hydrated skin! The best bit is that it's minimised pores on my nose in particular along with cleared up the lumps along my hair line. Finally! Hopefully it'll sort out the now red spot on my jaw pronto.

Does anyone have any spot remedies they use to clear them up fast that they'd care to share? I need all the help I can get right now!

  1. I don't really get spots (I've moved into wrinkle territory), but I do love Liquid Gold - TVSN does a two for one deal around Christmas and I'm waiting impatiently to stock up again as I've nearly run out.
